Guest Marketing

Okay, you have been blogging and adding your content on various social bookmarketing sites, but still are not getting the results you expected. Well, you shouldn't expect it! Social bookmarketing traffic isn't as targeted as you would like and it is unlikely that the viewer will stay on your site to make the effort truly worth while. What should do...don't worry about it! Traffic that really wants to hear what you have to say will hang around and probably will not only read your content, but also tweet it, comment on it and share it with others. This is called Guest Blogging.

Guest blogging is a popular form of content syndication used by many superstar blogger’s to drive high quality traffic to their website. It is the art of writing a great piece of content for another website other than you own.

The key to successful Guest Blogging is is to get your content posted on recognized and popular authority blogs within your niche.

Let me give you 5 reasons why you'll want to do Guest Blogging to help you get a first page ranking on Google.

1.Select and Write for a High Quality, Traffic Site

If you are successful in getting your content posted on a popular blog within your niche that has thousands of visitors a day, you will be able to tap into their Internet traffic and expose your blog to those who read your article. Popular authority blogs within your niche are a fantastic free resource for high quality, targeted traffic. They've already built up the targeted traffic you want, and by posting a guest article on their site, you will be directing some of that traffic your way. Sweet! Add a small 4 to 5 line bio at the bottom of your guest post with a link pointing back to your blog, and then let the traffic arrive! As an example, I manage a travel related business so I would search for popular travel related sites that I can add some content. In this case, I found that Fodor's Travel has a forum and I can post an article. Also, I can add content to the very popular Trip Advisor.
1.  Creates Valuable Backlinks
Guest blogging has the added benefit of creating backlinks which are valuable. Google loves backlinks, especially if it comes from another well known, popular website. The popular kid always wins when it comes to Internet Marketing. If you get in with the popular crowd, and they link back to your website, Google will think you’re popular too and reward you with a page one ranking!
2.Gain Worldwide Exposure
Through Guest Blogging, you can expand your market place and reach people who wish to visit Savannah and use your service or product. Guest Blogging exposes you to a completely new source of traffic that has more than likely never heard of you. We have a friend in Ireland who owns a small Bed & Breakfast and she has been Guest Blogging for sometime and has seen bookings from places she had not reached prior to her writing about her inn and her location. If you are a professional, (example: an attorney or doctor) Guest Blogging helps establish you as an expert and build name recognition or brand awareness through greater exposure to a much larger audience.
3. Dramatically Increase Your Email Subscriber List
An added benefit of the newly created influx of viewers who are visiting the popular niche sites will increase the opportunity to gain additional subscribers. A larger email list leads to more retweets (Twitter), joining on your Facebook page and potentially sharing your content. All of this will increase your exposure and traffic.

4. Make More Money
Why not? If you are reaching a larger audience and you are providing world-class content, you should see a dramatic increase of traffic to your website and purchase of your products or services.

Guest Blogging is simple and probably the quickest and most effective way to build name or brand recognition. It will most certainly increase exposure, drive highly targeted traffic to your site, grow your subscriber list and make more money. Just take the time and do it!

I recently read an article on Forbes.com titled “Now Every Company is a Software Company.” The article took the position that basically every business now lives and dies based on how good they are at leveraging technology.

In my business of web design, price is the one thing that is always variable. We work almost exclusively with small businesses, and all small businesses have budget constraints that make them sensitive to every penny that goes out the door.

Because the cost of a website is so variable, it can be helpful to identify the items that can raise the price before you get into the specifics. If your goal is to keep costs down, make sure to keep these five things in mind.
